Third Shift

What is wrong with this child!?!?! It is midnight. He woke up, hungry, he consumed an entire bottle, and fell asleep in my arms. i carted him back to his bed, plopped him in, and wandered blearily to my own bed. Within minutes i hear IT. The little whimpers that imply a big scream is in the making. Sure enough, WHAAAAAAAA! grrr. He will not be rocked back to sleep. He wants to be UP, playing and chatting with himself, me, his dad, and/or any nearby toys. He started yawning and rubbing his eyes. I KNEW he was tired. i hauled his little behind back to his crib. Ran to the bathroom. When i came out a moment later, all was quiet. I crept into his room to cover him with his blanket, and instead got a nice smile for the camera. Sleep, i need SLEEP!

He is just getting ready for those late nights as a teenager...like mine LOL. Via Michele's again, hope you can go back to sleep soon!

Michele sent me your way, Dak-ind and Faira.

The guy I work with has a new baby daughter born 2 weeks ago. She's well behaved but Tach says she poops every few minutes. And then there's that need to be fed often since the belly is so small. *whew* Too much work for me!

Good luck with your little one...

Hey There:

Sorry for the segue from your post topic. I just wanted to drop by and thank you for your recent post at Dark Glass. I'm curious if you are participating in the Liguori Publications Catholic focus group? Your feedback would be appreciated, there's no cost to participate, no spam or junk mail and you might win a $50 gift certificate.

You might also like to read Variety in observance of Catholic Mass and the comments that were left there. It touches on a few of the themes you mentioned in your comment.

You have a beautiful family. I'm sure you'll be as good a Mother as Faira obviously was.

Peace,

P. Del Ricci - Dark Glass

Hi there. I'm here from Michele's blog. First of all, thank you for visiting my site as well. I hope we visit each other often, as it seems we share a similar outlook on life.

Second, I SO relate to this entry. We lie awake at night listening to every noise in the house, fully expecting it to end up in a crescendo of cries from one of our munchkins (we've got three).

Gotta love how they smile when you're most frustrated. They know.

he's such a cutie, no wonder he doesn't want to sleep, he wants you to stay up and play with him!!!
try and sleep when he naps through the day if you're able.
and thanks for dropping by my blog earlier!

Now you're in for it because you broke the routine. If they wake up in the middle of the night, you just feed 'em or change 'em. That's all. Don't play with them unless you want them up every night. Believe me, I know.
