Second Santa

We visited Santa again. Indiana just loves him! This time we got a great Santa with a real beard, and a great personality, whose wife dressed as Mrs Claus and gave us all candy canes! Indiana went crazy for his candy cane! He pleased us by again chattering at Santa. I think some kids instinctively know where the gifts come from!!

We did a little more shopping, buying stocking stuffers for Indy, and finally picking up a gift for my best friend. She is hard to buy for because I always try to get her something I would want, and it can be really hard to give up her gift! Ha Ha. We got a few other small things, and now our list is down to just 5!

13 days to Christmas!

Wait... How's that possible? Santa was just here in my town a few minutes ago. (Saw him at the mall.)

That's one of the better-looking Santas I've seen...my husband & I saw one at the mall here in Melbourne that was simply terrifying.

I have a picture of a couple of kids with the exact opposite reaction to Santa than Indy has. Will post it one day soon.

Hey, darlin'... just wanted to tell you that it makes it hard to buy for you too... cause I want to keep what I get you.. it's really too bad that we both like wolves so much, but it's all your fault.. you got me hooked on them in the first place, heh. But you always do a great job, and our friendly little "competition" just gets better, heh. You'd think we actually liked each other or something like that.
Love you! Mel

Enjoy the early years. They're the most fun when it comes to Christmas.

Most everywhere you look this time of the year, in one form or another there is a Santa Claus.

When I was a little kid out on the farm we never did see a lot of Santa, maybe his picture in a Sears, Roebuck and Co. or Montgomery Ward catalog, painted on show windows in town, or on Christmas cards.
Sometimes he would show up in person in a Christmas parade, at school or in one of the local stores, always the fat, jolly rotund white-whiskered Santa Claus that we all have been familiar with from the time we were old enough to remember.
Most youngsters meet him even before that, and it is probably just as well that some of us cannot remember the experience. From what I have been told, it was not a happy day for me when I was about two years old and my parents introduced me to Santa Claus in , the nearest town of any size to where we were living at the time.
I screamed to high heaven, having never seen anything like him before.Indy Santa looks real.
