Can you say INCONVENIENT!?!

I want a bath. I want a two hour long two hundred degree bubble bath. I have not had a bath in THREE days. That's right, THREE. 3. Deodorant and body spray make keep me from smelling like i have poor personal hygiene, but i feel YUCKY. Why, you ask, would a conscientious person such as myself ever want to go so many days in my own ick? Well, this is what my bathtub has looked like for the last three days.
There was a "water" leak in my bathroom wall. Lets be honest... It's nasty, dirty, yucky, used shower water from the mexican family upstairs shower draining directly into the wall between my bathroom and Indian's bedroom. How is it being repaired? Well, half arsed. That's how. There is standing "sewage" in my wall. The manager ripped out the part of the wall where the leak was (up high) and left the remains of the wall in my bathtub. He dumped some industrial bleach into the wall, patched the leak and covered the hole. He has not come back to finish covering the hole, nor has he cleaned out my tub of the insulation and 50 year old moldy drywall that he left behind. Plus he left the standing filth in the bottom part of the wall (sure with liquid bleach in it now).
We discovered this leak because for the last three months i have been complaining about a "bubble" in my wall, and mold growing from inside the wall out. Nothing was done. Then, nothing was done. Then, nothing was done. Finally I demanded something be done. THIS is what i GOT. Should i call a lawyer? Should I call the health department? Should i MOVE?

HEALTH DEPARTMENT ALERT!!!
Yes, I would call the Health Department, if you think that will get things moving faster...It really could be dangerous stuff there, you know? And with Indy getting sick all the time...Hmmmmm.
So I don't think that would be an exageration!!! And I'm not a ligious person, BUT..in this case? I would sue if I were you...But more important, get that Health Dept. out there, pronto!

At the mercy of the damn Landlord!!!

Yeah, mold is bad, especially to children. I would report it to your local health department.

That is unconscionable. Moving seems a must, along with the health dept. call.

euwwwww... that's disgusting what you need to put up with...

yep, getting a professional on to it will be necessary because owners/landlords mostly don't do anything unless forced or actively requested...

Hon, not only are you entitled to have this fixed, and FAST, and able to sue him for this, but you are LEGALLY ENTITLED IN THE STATE OF OREGON TO WITHHOLD RENT UNTIL HE FIXES IT. Check your local housing laws.

My bathroom is the only room that doesn't look like this, so feel free to come over and take a nice bubble bath here with wonderful lit candles all around you.
As far as the rest of my apartment, it looks a lot like your bathroom. No tiles on the floor, a mold problem, etc. My doctor had even written my landlord saying my health was deteriorating due to the conditions. We can't with hold rent where I live.
But after me fighting them for years, my brother makes one quick phone call to them and now they are fixing everything.
What could he have said that I didn't? Sometimes it's good to let someone else help you.
