The weather has improved so much that we are spending a lot of time running around outside. We have been playing in the park, feeding the ducks, visiting grandma and grandpa, and spending some time at Duck's house. Aunt Duecie had a birthday. We also said a sad goodbye to Duck's papa, who passed away over the weekend.
Life continues along.
Duck's school play was today! We had a great time wathing it with Chris, John, Nicole, Indy, Macy and the aunts... even Randy appeared. Duck played a game show host (named Spuds Au Gratin) and also a native in a dress!!

Indy posed in our favorite picture taking tree. We have been taking pictures of kids and pets and family etc in this tree for many years. Go figure i have no pictures at all of my friends with it. hmmmm.
Some days it is just nice to get out and walk around our town. We do this every few weeks. Fortunately for us there is a park very nearby which is home to a wonderful lake with lots of fish and ducks and birds and geese and flowers and benches and a great trail all around the water.
Indy ran back and forth between the waters edge and the loaf of bread shouting "more bread for the duckies!"
One of the many wonderful gifts Indy received for his birthday was an Elmo Bubble blower. He loves it!
Indy is growing so fast. He is wearing 2-3T pants and 4-5T shirts! I can't believe how fast the time has gone. His vocabulary continues to grow every day. He can count to ten (which he follows with a loud "18!"). He can identify several colors and shades of colors. He recognizes and greets (by name) almost all of our English speaking neighbors and a few of the Spanish ones besides! He has his own wants and desires and communicates them loudly to us. He really is his own small person now, thirsting to learn and striving to grow. He plays basketball with a singleness of purpose I haven't seen in ages... He stands in front of his hoop and throws the ball at it over and over for about 30 minutes at a time! He watches his movies, and knows the ones he likes by name (Madagascar, Elmo, and Shrek being the favorites of the moment).
The party itself was wonderful. We had a nice barbecue, a light saber battle, and the guys even got themselves a nice pick up game of basketball. We had cake and balloons and gifts and a great time.
We are so fortunate to have wonderful friends, neighbors, and family members who show their support of our milestones in such an enthusiastic manner!
It seems the bunny even left them in the wishing well... 
Later, the Easter Bunny visited brother's house and left Indy lots of fun eggs, candies and some super Bunny disguise glasses!
I suppose Easter egg hunting isn't as fun for older guys, but Duck made the best of it, helping play bunny and hiding the eggs, as well as investigating them for himself when Indy would hand one over.
We made another trip to Tampa to Busch Gardens. Indiana found the three story play structure to his liking, and all the animals, too. He even got to ride on the water flume ride!
We also spent part of a day riding the horses with Riley's mom. She runs a horse barn and gives lessons to small children... Indy LOVES horses. Wee-Biscuit might get a little jealous!

BUT for the "Boon Companions", Indiana and Riley, it was all about fun! There was water to play in, slides to be slid down, high fives to be given out, shoulders to be rode upon, there were fish to look at, and manatees too, there was so much to see and do. There were sting rays to be pet, camels to ride, giraffe's to be fed! 
Yes, people asked if they are twins... they aren't even related except by bonds of love and friendship between families!
In the end we couldn't do it all, although we did most of it. The boys were bushed, and spent the car ride back to Bartow snoozing away. 
Indy loved seeing Papa and of course, took over Papa's big yellow truck as his own:
Busch Gardens has an excellent play area for the little folks called Land of the Dragons. Indy spent a large portion of his day here!
Indy rode in a dragon egg, crossed a rope bridge, and found some dragons for his dad and him to fly on:

And of course, what trip to the home of Budweiser would be complete without the Clydesdales? I figured that Sprint the Donkey was cooler though:
