I love that there are so many family friendly activities this time of year. Instead of being trapped in our homes by the wet and cold, we brave Oregonians head "en masse" to event likes the Metro Washington Park "Oregon Zoo" Zoo Lights Festival (the name of the zoo was changed to Oregon Zoo from MWPZ a few years ago because folks were confused... The zoo is in Washington County in Oregon, but due to our proximity to Washington State, well ..... You understand the problem).
Yesterday, we bundled up and headed for the zoo. We spent the entire day wandering the grounds of the zoo, then the lights came on! We went on a steam train ride looping around the zoo and were dazzled by the more than 1/2 million lights brightening the zoo. Indiana had a BLAST. He hollered "lights" every ten seconds, with the occasional "pretty lights" thrown in, to keep us guessing.

Michele sent me over, Dak-Ind.
I've never seen a light show like that at a zoo. That's quite impressive and must be great for kids. I was at the state zoo for NC a couple of months ago and they were advertising holiday specials but I don't think they have anything as festive as what you do.
This time of the year is great, isn't it?
That's a pretty neat pic of the zoo at night.
Thanks for the visit :)
Cool! Reminds me of the Electric Lights Parade at DisneyLand :)
Wishing you a pawfect Holiday Indy and Dakota Be especially patient with your humans during this time. They may appear to be more stressed-out than usual and they will appreciate long comforting dog leans. And if you have a dog tell hin to remember A big man with a white beard and a very loud laugh may emerge from your fireplace in the middle of the night. Don't bite him sniff-sniff
