Indy and I were watching one of our favorite morning shows,
Sesame Street this morning. When I was a small child my favorite character was Snuffaluffagus (He used to be Big Bird's invisible friend). He has been visible for probably twenty years but this morning he was not. Why? Because the thing that makes him visible was broken. What keeps him visible? His magic ukulele. I am not making this up. Anyways, I guess I know TWO ukulele playing New Yorkers....

Snuffy's much older than that, I think. I can't remember exactly, but I'm about 10 months older than Sesame Street I think. And I remember when Snuffy first "appeared."
Those darn ukelele's. LOL!
My ukulele was never magic, either.
ohmygoddess...I was soooo afraid you were going to say you stopped believing in him!!! Hey, thanks for continuing to visit my blog... I have been pagued by end of the school year stuff! I will try to get on more often. Indy is gorgeous. The sleeping on the couch pic is soooo framable.
Oh, are you going to World Beat in Salem next weekend? The mini goddess dances on the steppin stage at 4 pm on Saturday (24th).
Us ukulele players are everywhere! ;)
I play the Ukulale, too...and I always thought of it as quite a Magical Instrument...I've had mine for 43 years...It's a Baritone Uke...Maybe I should take it out and play it and then 'The Invisible One' might appear!
Well, I'm not a ukelele playing New Yorker. I'm barely even a New Yorker. Newbie NYC-er.
Sesame Street. The puppet musical in NYC was (is?) really cute and Sesame Streeters could relate. Forget the name...
Cheers!
There is a Ukelele site called (I think) www.ukelele_jukebox.com
There are some GOOD uke players there.
Oh, and thanks for your kind comments on my blog. Hope you are feeling better.
