Wolves

It is oft remarked that I have a bit of a wolf obsession. Our home is decorated with some very beautiful statuary, lighting, pictures, and other objects de' wolf art. The display pictured here is the top of our roll top computer desk. I have a tapestry hanging behind the desk (to conceal a closet door). I thought the picture turned out kind of neat:
I have never actually purchased a "wolf" for myself. All of the ones in our home (numbering well over 100 items) were gifts from friends and loved ones over the last 10 years or so. Many of the givers are now gone from our lives, for whatever reason, but their contribution to the menagerie remains forever. I admit that I do have a few favorite pieces, and some that I like more than others. My two favorites are very different from one another. One, a leaded crystal sculpture, priceless in its beauty; the other, priceless in its sentiment, is the first one Duck ever bought for me. If nothing else, this little obsession makes it easier to purchase gifts for me!

My wife has a huge collection of Homels. Did I spell that right?

I have tons of gifts from family that past away. I just wish there was not such thing as aging, because I miss them so much!

Hi, Michele sent me!

I hope you have a nice weekend, DAK-IND!

my wife used to collect pigs for the kitchen, then she became overwhelmed at birthdays, christmas gifts, etc. Once people know you have a collection, then the flood gates open!!

I've never known anyone before who had a Wold Obsession...! I do think they are very beatiful animals and I can see how you could really get into collecting all things 'wolf'! Love the display!

I have never seen a glass wolf lamp before - and, being from Colorado, I've seen a LOT of wolf stuff... (I started to say I've never seen a wolf lamp before, but then I realised that I'd seen a bunch of lamps with carved wooden and metal wolf bases.)

Here from Michele's!

Your collection is beautiful. It's always nice to have a collection of something. And wolves are absolutely beautiful and they are so majestic.
